It dazzles winter visitors with its fantastic ice decorations. There are several breathtaking waterfalls, among which Skakalia waterfall- 140 meters high. The region provides excellent opportunities for hiking – it offers many other tracks an intimidating 400 meters high vertical wall, with more that 116 alpine tracks of level 4 difficulty. Another interesting tourist attraction is the Iskar Gorge – a spectacular canyon formed by the Iskar river. There is a small ski resort in the region – called Parshevica, where you can enjoy skiing during the winter. The region is also suitable for cycling, hunting, fishing and more.
