Bourgas is a vibrant city offering, offering a rich cultural life, especially in the summer. The beautiful Sea Garden is one of its landmarks, offering you an escape from the citys busy streets.
The most interesting resorts in the region are Nessebar to the north and Sozopol to the south. Both places are rich in history and architecture and are famous for preserving the spirit of Old Bulgaria. Small paved streets, opening breathtaking views on the Black Sea, small artisan shops, restaurants with traditional Bulgarian cuisine or fine dining, charming hotels and various cultural events Nesebar and Sozopol are two of the gems of the Bulgarian seaside.
The beaches in the region are wide and long, covered with fine, golden sand.
Also worth mentioning is the lake of Pomorie north of Bourgas which is surrounded by salt-mines and balneo-hotels.
Karnobat, which is situated west of Bourgas is famous for its vineyards.
